The number one killer of dogs isn't parvovirus, distemper or even cancer. It is "bad" behavior. People, unaware of how to solve behavioral issues normal to dogs but aggravating to humans, surrender their dogs to shelters where they more than likely will be killed...within days. Expert dog trainer, Anthony Silva and owner of C.O.R.E. Dog Training & Boarding, has loved animals, especially dogs, since childhood. His love for animals and passion for rescuing and training led him to become a professional dog trainer. It was 15 years ago that he discovered this passion when he rescued two Smooth Fox Terriers that came with a myriad of behavioral issues he had to fix. Over years of training experience, seminars, and certification through Animal Behavior College, Anthony has honed his skills and developed user-friendly dog training principles, C.O.R.E. (Consistency, Once, Rewards, Exercise). These principles take the second guessing and confusion out of dog training and help people become the trustworthy, benevolent leader their dog needs. An avid animal advocate, Anthony donates his training expertise to rehabilitate dogs in Los Angeles for Bark and Bitches so they can find forever homes. He is Karma Rescue's trainer, evaluating dogs for placement, helping foster families with issues specific to rescues and training dogs to become adoptable. Perry has always had dogs! He states, "When I was very young I begged my parents for a dog and one day we ended up with Brandy a miniature Poodle. He was a wonderful pet and we taught him to hit his nose on a cow bell when he had to go outside, but we failed to think that he may want to go outside all the time so the bell rang quite a lot." As an adult, Perry has had 3 English Bulldogs and they were all very special in their own way. He has always had a kinship for his canine companions, and if he had a farm he'd have tons of pets and be extremely happy. Perry makes sure that all of our boarders feel cared for and loved!

Bekka has had a passion for rescuing and caring for animals her entire life! She's grown to understand that animals rely on us for care a guidance and in turn, they give us unconditional love! She loves to work with dogs and hopes to better prepare people on how to care and train their furry family members! She does a fantastic job at supervising play time for our boarders, taking them for walks, conducting morning training sessions and keeping the play area pristine!
